00: In this tutorial I will show you how to make a Star Wars like Hologram.

01:Start with with finding the person or object you want to make a hologram of. I choose this girl:

02: Cut her/it out from the background like i showed in the cutout tutorial.

03: Press CTRL+SHIFT+U to desaturise the picture (Image>Adjustments>Desaturate.

04: Now press CTRL+U to colorize the image. Apply these settings: (remember to check the Colorize tag)

05: Change the opacity on the image to 60%

06: Now make a new document 1x5 pixels and make fill the top pixel with black like this:

07: Click Edit>Define Pattern and save this pattern.

08: Now go back to the original document. Hold CTRL down while you click on the image layer.

09: Make a new layer and Click Edit>Fill and choose the pattern we made. Should have this now:

10: Move the layer with the lines ontop of the image and change opacity on it to 60% also.

11: Now go back to the image layer and add an outer glow in layer styles with these settings:

12: Use the Polygonal Lasso Tool and make a selection like this to make the light ray effect.

13: With the selection still active hold CTRL+ALT and click on the girl layer to make the selection around her not in her. Like this:

14: Make a new layer and fill it with a good color I choose #99CCCC.

15: Blur it a little Filter>Blue>gausian Blur and add 6.0 Pixel blur

16: Change the opacity on the light ray layer to 45% and we should be done. I added a mockup Jedi Council picture as background and I got this as final result
