Network Administrator III - CCNP, CCNA & CCNA-S at TDC
(September 2010 – Present)
TDC is Denmark's largest ISP and telecommunications provider.
I work in the IP Backbone department as a Network Administrator. We have the day to day operations and maintenance of well over 4300 routers, switches and firewalls serving around 9 mil. customers.
• Day to day operations & maintenance of TDC’s core network.
• Lead technical engineer / technical engineer on NNI MPLS' with other ISP's. (ATT, Verizon, BT, Colt Telecommunication, Telefonica, Telecom Austria, Tele Greenland and PCCW).
• Firewall filers, Access lists, DNS blocks, Black holing.
Network Operations Technician II - CCNA at TDC ( December 2007 – September 2010)
• 2nd and 3rd level support for private, business, wholesale customers and onsite technicians on TDC's xDSL products (CPE's, DSLAM, L3 switches).
• Project manager/support on various projects to improve customer satisfaction, lower rate of xDSL problems, lower number of reoccurring trouble tickets.
• After business hours support for our NOC (6pm-6am).
• My work ranged from normal DHCP residential solutions to large corporate MPLS and VPN solutions.
• Helped our VOIP department with remote errors when they were experiencing high case volumes.
• Productivity 110% - 180% above target (every month).
• In 2009 alone I had 1800+ hours of overtime and 240+ after hours calls from our NOC.
IT supporter (2nd level support, system optimization, etc.) at TDC (March 2007 – December 2007)
• 1st and 2nd level support to TDC’s customers.
• System optimization/security.
• Router and wireless support.
• Support on TDC's antivirus and firewall programs.
• 12% of my support called ended in new sales (target was 3%)
Owner and manager of Dominion Internet Cafe (June 2002 – May 2006)
Ran and operated an internet cafe, a graphics design company and helped local businesses with network and network security in Oakdale, California.
• Had 35 computers at the café, where customers could check emails, websites and play games.
• Taught classes at the cafe in Word, Excel, Photoshop and basic usage of email, the internet and computers.
• Made websites, logos and other PR materials for local businesses and stores.
• Helped other local businesses with their IT, network, setup and security.
(All businesses were closed when we moved back to Denmark in 2006).
Web-design and education at Stjerne Design (2000 – 2001)
• Web design and development of promotional material (leaflets, posters, letterheads, logos etc.).
• Taught other employees at Stjerne Design the use of graphic programs including Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and Flash.
PR and campaigning at JuniBevægelsen, Aarhus, Brussel and Strasbourg (1994 – 1998)
JuniBevægelsen was an EU critical organization with parliament members in the European Parliament.
